History
Tektronix Multi-Vendor Services is part of the Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR)
portfolio of companies. Launched in late 2009, as an independent
service provider, the organization brings together more than 100 years of
knowledge and experience in the test and measurement industry.
- 1865 — Davis Instruments founded in Baltimore, MD by John Davis.
- 1944 — F.W. Bell, Inc. is incorporated in Delaware by Floyd W. Bell.
- 1946 — Tektronix, Inc., founded in 1946 founded by three U.S. Coast
Guard veterans and an electronics expert from the U.S. Army
- 1948 — Fluke Corporation founded by John Fluke, Sr.
- 1999 — F.W. Bell, Inc. evolves into Sypris Solutions.
- 2007 — Tektronix Inc. acquired by Danaher Corporation
- 2007 — Davis Instruments completes a series of 12 acquisitions including GE
Instrumentation Services, and becomes Davis Calibration.
- October 2009 — Tektronix formed from existing
elements of Tektronix services and Fluke services.
- October 2009 — Tektronix acquires Sypris Test & Measurement business
from Sypris Solutions, Inc.
- December 2009 — Sypris Test & Measurement acquires Davis
Calibration.
- October 2010 — Sales and marketing efforts are combined under Tektronix
Service Solutions.
